Obituary of Eileen Elanik

On Friday, August 15, 2014 Mrs. Eileen “Baba” Elanik passed away peacefully at the Bonnyville Health Centre at the age of 82 years. Baba will be forever remembered by her children; Belvia (Gordon) Wrobel, Bradley (Lori) Elanik, Brenda Elanik and Sandy Elanik, 6 grandchildren; Tryna (Sonny) Petruniak, Levi (Leslie) Elanik, Brett (Robin) Elanik, Karissa (Scott) Anderson, Erin (James) Livingston and Colby (Jen) Wrobel, 8 great grandchildren; Parker and Brianna Petruniak, Kolt, Ella, Lorin and Avery Elanik and Gavin and Vayda Livingston, brothers; Harvey (Rita) Kryzanowski and Malcolm (Lillian) Kryzanowski and her sister; Thelma (Edward) Watrich and numerous nieces and nephews. Baba was predeceased by her husband; Mike Elanik, son; Bruce Elanik, her parents; Yeels and Nina Kryzanowski and her brother; Peter Dranchuk. A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the RCMP Centennial Hall, Glendon, Alberta with Pastors William Kryzanowski and Terry Luciow officiating. Interment was held at the Glendon Pentecostal Cemetery, Hwy 28 east of Beacon Corner. Honourary pallbearers were Johnny Kissel and Dr. Percy Doonanco. Pallbearers were; Levi and Brett Elanik, Colby Wrobel, James Livingston, Sonny Petruniak and Scott Anderson. In lieu of flowers the Elanik family request memorial tributes in memory of Eileen may be sent to the Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation, 1502 College Plaza, 8215-112 St NW, Edmonton, AB T6G 2C8.
