On Monday, June 16, 2014 Ms. Matilda Mary Agnes Blackman of Cold Lake First Nations passed away at the age of 85 years. Matilda will be lovingly remembered by her children; Ronald Janvier, Doreen Janvier, Brenda Janvier and Marilyn (Keith) Janvier-Coker and granddaughter; Lenore Janvier, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren. Matilda was predeceased by; sons: Eric Janvier, Collin Janvier, Richard Janvier, Dennis Janvier, Marcel Janvier, Arnold Janvier, step son: Dexter Janvier, grandsons: Randy Nepoose and Robert S Janvier, siblings: Ralph and Francis Blackman. A wake was held on Thursday and Friday, June 19 and 20, 2014 at the Cold Lake First Nations Spiritual Centre. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Raphael’s Catholic Parish with Father Thomas Dieu Nguyen as the celebrant. Interment followed at the Cold Lake First Nations Community Cemetery.
