On Wednesday, April 21, 2010 John Janvier of Cold Lake First Nation, Alberta passed away at the age of 77 years. John will be sadly missed by his wife Isabelle Janvier: sons Roland Janvier of Cold Lake First Nation, AB, Robert Janvier of Edmonton, AB, Arnold Janvier of Edmonton, AB, Roger Janvier of Edmonton, AB, Russell Janvier of Edmonton, AB: sister; Maryanne Blackman of Cold Lake First Nation. Numerous Grandchildren, nephews and nieces. John was predeceased by his parents; Suzanne & Norbert Janvier: brothers; August and Abraham Janvier: sisters; Flonestine Scanie and Caroline Berland. A prayer vigil was held on Saturday and Sunday April 24 & 25, 2010 at Cold Lake First Nation Spiritual Centre. A funeral service was held on Monday, April 26, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Raphael’s Parish Legoff, Alberta, with Father Rene Realuyo as the celebrant. Interment followed at Cold Lake First Nation Community Cemetery.
