On Saturday, April 17, 2010 Bennyshia Grandbois of Cold Lake First Nation passed away at the age of 21 years. Bennyshia will be sadly missed by her parents: Kathy & Benny Grandbois of Cold Lake First Nation: sisters; Beatrisha Grandbois of Cold Lake, AB, Katelynn Grandbois of Cold Lake, AB, Kaylynn Grandbois of Cold Lake, AB: brothers; Konrad Sylvestre of La Loche, Sk, Kelsey Montgrand of La Loche, Sk, Benjermin Grandbois of Cold Lake, AB:maternal grandmother; Flora McKenzie of La Loche , Sk: nephew; Isaac Grandbois of Cold Lake, AB: niece; Kadian Janvier of Cold Lake, AB. Numerous Uncles, Aunties and other Relatives. Bennyshia was predeceased by her Paternal Grandparents: Eva & Toby Grandbois: Maternal Grandfather; August McKenzie. A prayer vigil will be held on Monday and Wednesday, April 19 and 21, 2010 at the Cold Lake First Nations Band Hall Legoff, Alberta. A Funeral service was held on Thursday, April 22, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Raphael’s Parish, Legoff, Alberta with Father Rene Realuyo as the celebrant. Interment followed at Cold Lake First Nations Community Cemetery. Honourary pallbearers were all of Bshia’s Family and Friends. Pallbearers were Konrad Sylvestre, Kelsey Montgrand, Benjermin Grandbois, Jeremy Scanie, Nathan Beedes, Norman Scanie.
