Obituary of Charles Alexander Mathews

MATHEWS, Charles August 15, 1943- August 20, 2012 On Monday, August 20, 2012 Mr. Charles Alexander Mathews of Bonnyville, AB passed away at the age of 69 years. Charles will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 44 years; Dorothea Mathews of Bonnyville, children; Elise (Aaron) Buckingham of Lloydminster, Kirk Mathews of Bonnyville, Kyla Mathews (Byron Lonsberry) of Bonnyville, 3 grandchildren, Zander Buckingham, Lindsey Buckingham, Danica Mathews, siblings: Richard (Florence) Matthews of Lloydminster, Bill (Elsie) Matthews of Bruderheim, Robert (Idella) Matthews of Dewberry, Margaret (Steve) Hrynew of Edmonton, Sandria (Gordon) Sundlie of Sherwood Park’ Cec (Jack) Sanderson of Meadow View, Jean (Harry) Gering of Whitemouth, MB, foster sister Vanesa Maaren of Grande Prairie and Numerous Nieces, Nephews and Friends Charles was predeceased by his parents: Elizabeth (1959) and Alexander (1956) Matthews, foster parents: Erna and William Maaren, foster siblings: Marwa Ewert Sever Maaren and Doug Oleson (2012). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lakeland Lutheran Church, Cold Lake. Honourary pallbearers were all of Charles’ nieces, nephews and friends. Pallbearers were; Todd Matthews, Michael Matthews, Nathan Matthews, Chad Granger, Ian Gill and David Sundlie. Interment will follow at a later date at St. John’s Cemetery, Bonnyville, Alberta.
