On Saturday, June 9, 2012 Derrick Jon Jacknife of Elizabeth Settlement suddenly passed away at the age of 22 years. Derrick will be lovingly remembered by his son; Alexandre Bryson Stryker, his love; Loretta Jacko, his parents Alex Blyan and Elizabeth Jacknife, brothers; Dale (Jeannette) Jacknife and Adrian (Lindsay) Jacknife, sisters; Andrea Jacknife (Shawn Piche) and Shannon Jacknife, godson; Aiden Wolverine, 2 nephews, 14 neices, grandmother; Clara Cardinal and his biological mother; Diane Jacknife and 4 biological siblings. A wake was held on Thursday and Friday, June 14 and 15, 2012 at the Elizabeth Settlement Community Hall. Funeral service was held on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Marquerite d'Youville Roman Catholic Church, Elizabeth Settlement. Interment followed at the Elizabeth Settlement Community Cemetery.
