On Wednesday, January 22, 2014 Mrs. Leocadia “Lois” Babb passed away at the age of 81 years. Lois will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 61 years; Norval Babb, her children; Judith-Ann (Emile) Lessard, Brian (Rita) Babb, Sheila (Andre) Viel and Tracey (Al) Pike, 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, her sister; Veronica Krawiec, brother; Stanley Olszowka and her sister in law; Julia (Doug) Johnson. Lois was predeceased by her great granddaughter; Claire Aline Babb, parents; Peter and Maryanna Olszowka, her siblings; Ted, Helen “Jenny”, Joseph and Charlie Olszowka.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Willow Prairie Hall, LaCorey, Alberta with Father Rene Realuyo officiating. Interment followed at the Lessard Cemetery, Lessard with Geoff Babb and Allan Olszowka as honourary pallbearers and Jason, Derek and Craig Babb along with Kevin, Allan and Leigh Lessard as pallbearers.
