Obituary of Eugene Ulanicki

On Tuesday, January 21, 2014 Mr. Eugene Ulanicki of Stony Plain passed away at the age o f 56 years. Eugene will be remembered by his children; Crystal McGregor (Darryll Hebert) of Bonnyville, Heather Ayers-Silberngel (Robert) of Cold Lake, Calvin Ulanicki (Juan) of Edmonton and Elizabeth Woloszyn (Peter) of Buffalo, NY, grandchildren; Vanessa, Angela, Maddison, Briar, Dominic, Chase and future grandson Woloszyn, his siblings; Peter (Elaine) Ulanicki of Chilliwack, BC, Elizabeth Hamaliuk of Vegreville, Sylvia (Stan) Madro of Cold Lake and Emily (Jim) Lauder of Edmonton and numerous nieces, relatives and friends. Eugene was predeceased by his parents; Nick and Anne Ulanicki, his brother William Ulanicki and brtoher in law Andrew Hamaliuk. A visitation was held on Thursday, January 23, 2014 from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. at Northern Lights Funeral Chapel, Bonnyville. A funeral service was held on Friday, January 24, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Elias Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Bonnyville, with Father Peter Haugen officiating. Interment followed at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery, LaCorey. Honourary pallbearers were Eugene’s grandchildren. Pallbearers were Calvin Ulanicki, Darryll Hebert, Peter Woloszyn, Ryan Lauder, Steve Alexander and Dave Wood. Memorial tributes in memory of Eugene may be made to Haying in the 30’s, Box 35 Mallaig, AB T0A 2K0.
