GABRIEL, Mathew Neil June 21, 1991 – March 17, 2012 On Saturday, March 17, 2012 Mathew Neil Gabriel of Cold Lake passed away at the age of 20 years. Mathew will be deeply missed by his mother; Crystal Gabriel (John Rasmussen), father; Gary Lachance, siblings; Genesis, John, Noah, Paul and Emily Gabriel, Katherine and April Lachance and grandmother Elizabeth Sather, significant other; Jamie Cardinal and numerous aunts, uncles, relatives and friends. Mathew was predeceased by his maternal grandfather; Ralph Gabriel and paternal grandmother; Mary Desjarlais. A prayer vigil was held on Saturday and Sunday, March 24 and 25, 2012 at the Elizabeth Settlement Community Hall. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, March 26, 2012 at St. Marguerite d’Youville Catholic Parish, Elizabeth Métis Settlement with Father Mario Jubinville as the celebrant. Interment followed at Assumption Roman Catholic Cemetery, Cold Lake, Alberta.
