Obituary of Eric Dolphus Grandbois

GRANDBOIS, Eric August 31, 1946 – March 16, 2012 On Friday, March 16, 2012 Mr. Eric Dolphus Grandbois of Cold Lake First Nations passed away at the age of 65 years. Eric will be lovingly remembered by his special friend; Mary Francois, son; Valin (Melanie) Grandbois, step sons; Vincent Francois , Jeffrey (Trina) Francois and Edgar (Trina) Francois, special granddaughter; Shannon Piche, special great granddaughters; Julianna & Seanna Piche, brothers; Felix Grandbois & Norbert Grandbois, sisters; Isabel Janvier & Suzanne Grandbois, special sister in law; Lena McCarthy, adopted mother; Annie Cryer and adopted brother; David Cryer. Eric was predeceased by his parents; Justine and Edward Grandbois, brothers; Jake, Charlie, Joseph and Clementine and sister; Lena. A prayer vigil was held on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 20 and 21, 2012 at the Cold Lake First Nations Band Hall. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Raphael’s Roman Catholic Parish with Father Mario Jubinville as the celebrant and Valin Grandbois as the cross bearer. Interment followed at the Cold Lake First Nations Community Cemetery. Honourary pallbearers were Vincent, Jeffrey and Edgar Francois, all the Elders and Hand game Players.
