SCANIE, Dominic June 19, 1987 - January 7, 2012 On Saturday, January 7, 2012 Dominic Joseph Charles Scanie of Cold Lake First Nations passed away at the age of 24 years. Dominic is survived by his mother & step father; Arlene Scanie & Norm Stuart, siblings and nieces & nephews; Dana Scanie (Kevin), Riley “Godchild” and Harley, Samantha Scanie (Jamie), Izayis, Reba Scanie, Lexie and Tessie Scanie, Ayanna “Godchild”, grandmother; Mrs. Scholastique Scanie, step siblings; Franjoli Stuart and Ryan (Fallan) Stuart, Mason, grandparents; Nancy Scanie, Francis Scanie, John Janvier, Alex (Jacqueline) Janvier and Elsie (Hector) Winnipeg, aunts and uncles; George “Godfather”, Joe, Kathleen, Jennifer “Godmother”, Christopher (Marie), Harvey (Myrna), Donna (Ron) and Noreen. Dominic was predeceased by his predeceased by his father: Charles Adamson, maternal grandfather: Dominic Scanie, paternal grandparents: Oliver and Isabelle Adamson and uncles: Marvin, David and Darrel Scanie. A traditional wake was held on Monday and Tuesday, January 9 and 10 , 2012 at the Cold Lake First Nations Band Hall. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Raphael’s Parish, Cold Lake First Nations with Father Mario Jubinville as the celebrant.
