SCANIE, Rena Marie May 7, 1955 – October 16, 2011 On Sunday, October 16, 2011 Ms Rena Marie Scanie of Cold Lake First Nations passed away at the age of 56 years. Rena will be lovingly remembered by her daughters; Kim (Lorin) Scanie) and Jasmine (Donivin) Scanie, her 5 grandchildren; Tristen, Mikaela, Kyrin, Asia and Dakota, her siblings; Irene & George Perry, Raymond & Dorothy Scanie, Donald & Marie Scanie, Noreen Scanie, Florence & Bobby Ermineskin, Fred (Denice) Scanie and Dorothy & Barry Martial, her aunt Maryanne Blackman and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Rena was predeceased by her parents; Amable & Florestine Scanie, brothers; Clifford and Denis Scanie, nephews; Barry, Miles and Rodney Scanie and her maternal and paternal grandparents. A wake was held on Thursday & Friday, October 20 & 21 at the Cold Lake First Nations Band Hall. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Raphael’s Parish, Cold Lake First Nations with Father Mario Jubinville and Father Rene Realuyo as the celebrants. Interment followed at the Cold Lake First Nations Community Cemetery with pallbearers; Dereck Scanie, Desmond Scanie, Donovan Scanie, Dwight Martial, Morgan Perry and Randy Scanie. www.northernlightsfs.ca Northern Lights Funeral Chapel Ltd. were in trust of arrangements.
