Obituary of George Donald Janvier

JANVIER, George March 29, 1962 - September 6, 2011-09-09 On September 6, 2011 George Donald Janvier of Cold Lake First Nations passed away at home at the age of 49 years. George will be remembered by his sons; Ryan Janvier (Samantha Mitsuing), Jamie Janvier (Chantal Bighead), Samuel Piche-Janvier and Christopher Courtoreille, his daughter Brandy Courtoreille, grandchildren; Rodney Mitsuing, Chris Janvier-Mitsuing and Merikah Bighead, his father Patrick Janvier Sr., siblings; Elaine Matchatis, Kenny Janvier (Jackie), Dennis Janvier, Patrick Janvier Jr. (Brenda) and Luke Janvier and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. George was predeceased by his mother Mary Janvier, brothers Rolland Coulineer and Russell Janvier and his sister Laura Janvier. A wake was held on Thursday and Friday, September 8 & 9, 2011 at the Cold Lake First Nations Band Hall. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Raphael’s Parish with Father Mario Jubinville as the celebrant. Interment followed at the Cold Lake First Nations Cemetery with honorary pallbearers; Chris Courtoreille, Brandy Courtoreille, Gerald Matchatis, Skylar McGilvery, Shane Piche, Sammy Piche-Janvier, Felix Grandbois and Kyle Piche as well as pallbearers; Jamie Janvier, Ryan Janvier, Ken Janvier, Luke Janvier, Patty Janvier and Dennis Janvier. www.northernlightsfs.ca Northern Lights Funeral Chapel Ltd. were in trust of arrangements.
