DESJARLAIS, Georgina September 21, 1971 – September 3, 2011 On Saturday, September 3, 2011 Ms Georgina Ann Desjarlais of La Corey, Alberta formerly of Elizabeth Métis Settlement passed away at the age of 39 years. Georgina will be sadly missed by her common law husband John Hauck, her son Nelson Prins, daughter Shelby Prins, siblings; Rene (Irene) Desjarlais, Susan (Ambrose) Lepine, Andy (Diane) Desjarlais, Corinne (Phil) Desjarlais, Connie (Kevin) Cross, Cathy (Jason) Umpherville and Janet Desjarlais (Lindsey), and the father of her children; Murray Prins and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. Georgina was predeceased by her parents; Ida and Edward Desjarlais and her sisters Trudy and Brecky Desjarlais. A wake was held on Wednesday and Thursday, September 7 and 8, 2011 at the Elizabeth Settlement Community Hall. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday, September 9, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Marguerite d’Youville Catholic Parish at Elizabeth Settlement with Father Mario Jubinville as the celebrant.
