Obituary For Doris Marie Desjarlais April 29, 1949 – September 4, 2009 On Friday, September 4, 2009 Mrs. Doris Marie Desjarlais of Elizabeth Metis Settlement, Alberta passed away at the age of 60 years. Doris will be lovingly remembered and sadly misses by her children: Darla Ferguson, Theresa Desjarlais, Joan (Dennis) Wells, Mavis Desjarlais, Francine (William) Daigneault, Scarlett Desjarlais, Lyle Desjarlais, and Matthew (Michelle) Desjarlais numerous grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren as well as her siblings: Lawrence (Debbie) Durocher, Ernest Durocher, Louis (Karen) Durocher, Stan Durocher, Philip (Mabel) Durocher, Dennis (Debbie) Durocher, Patricia (Patrick) Daigneault, Barbara (Bob) Durocher and Elizabeth Durocher, aunt and uncle Bernice (Charlie) Seright and Frank (Laura) Durocher. Doris was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence Desjarlais; sons: Dean, Joseph, Luke and Lawrence Jr.; grandson: Mark Anthony; parents: Delphine & Jean Marie Durocher; brothers: Maurice and Larry Durocher and Rick Olsen. A Prayer Vigil was held Sunday and Monday September 6 & 7, 2009 at Elizabeth Métis Settlement Community Hall. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Marguerite d’Youville Roman Catholic Church with Father Rene Realuyo as celebrant. Interment followed in the Elizabeth Métis Settlement Community Cemetery.
