JANVIER, Leslie July 21, 1953 – June 26, 2011 On Sunday, June 26, 2011 Leslie Francis Janvier of Cold Lake First Nations passed away at the age of 57 years. Leslie is survived by his daughters; Maria Scanie, Michelle Scanie, Josephine Scanie, Wesley Scanie, Dana Scanie, Pamela Scanie and Tessie Scanie, his grandchildren; Tyrese, Tyrell, Hannah, Nadya, Landon, Samual, Austin, Olivia, Piper, Riley and Harley, his mother; Angela Janvier, his common law; Joan Janvier and his siblings; Bernadette, Alice (Cliff), Christine, Dorothy, Margaret, Freda, Dale and Grace. Leslie was predeceased by his father: Hilaire Janvier, sisters: Josephine, Evangeline, Roseanna and Albertine and his brothers: Francis and Michael. A prayer vigil was held on Thursday and Friday June 30 an July 1, 2011 at the Cold Lake First Nations Spiritual Centre. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, July 2, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Raphael’s Roman Catholic Parish with Father Mario Jubinville as the celebrant. Interment followed at the Cold Lake First Nations Community Cemtery. Honorary pallbearers were; Kelly Janvier, Alphonse Amble, Lewis Janvier, Larry Janvier, Wayne Weaton, Kenny Swan, George Melenchuk, Andy Anderson, John Janvier, Garry Ennow, Kelly Jack Janvier, Lucille Courtoreille, Alfred Martial, Jim Janvier, Elliot Janvier, Ian Janvier, Bertha Janvier, Richard Muskego, Ray Croteau, Charlie Charland, Evangeline Janvier and Scholastique Scanie.
