PRESTON, Wally October 14, 1924 – March 29, 2010 On Monday, March 29, 2010 Mr. John Walter “Wally” Preston of Bonnyville passed away at the age of 85 years. Wally is survived by his children: Helana Preston (Derek Larsen) of Bonnyville, Dale Preston of Cranbrook, BC, Dean Preston of Edmonton, John Preston of Bonnyville, Donna Preston of Edmonton, Jan (Sid) Robinson of Cranbrook, BC, Brenda (Richard) Nelson of Spruce Grove Jerry Gopher of Cochin, SK, Garth (June) Deschamps of Landmark, MB, Yvonne (Andy) Patton of Prince Albert, SK, Ivan (Kathy) Deschamps of Walbridge, Ohio, US and Doug (Elaine) Simpson of Landmark, MB, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and brother : Raymond Deschamps of Saskatoon, SK. Wally was predeceased by his wife: Nancy Preston and wife: Audrey Preston, daughters: Phyllis and Jacqueline, grandson: Douglas Demchuk, parents: Edward and Louise Deschamps and siblings: Pete Martell, Eddie Deschamps and Jean Deschamps. A prayer vigil was held on Sunday, April 4, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at Northern Lights Funeral Chapel. Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, April 5, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Louis Roman Catholic Parish, Bonnyville, AB. Interment followed at the Holy Family Cemetery, Bonnyville, Alberta.
