Obituary of Gabriel Deschamps

Gabriel Deschamps of Fishing Lake, Alberta began his journey on October 7, 1941 to February 21, 2011 at age 69 years. He watched the last sunset, but his journey doesn’t end. Gabriel will be sadly missed by his loving wife Dawn Deschamps; children: Darrell (Sylvie) Deschamps of Fishing Lake, AB, Dakota Deschamps of Fishing Lake, AB; grandchildren: Ashton (Deschamps) Sturm of Edmonton, AB, Heaven Deschamps of Calgary, AB, Nevaeh Deschamps of Edmonton, AB; 3 godchildren: Amanda Fraynn, Marilyn Fayant and Raymond Deschamps: brothers; Joe Deschamps, Johnny Deschamps and Tommy Durocher of Fishing Lake, AB: sisters: Agnes Fraynn and Flora Gladue of Fishing Lake, AB. Gabriel was predeceased by his parents; Louise & Pete Deschamps: brothers Edward, Fred and Leonard Deschamps; sister: Sophie Deschamps. A prayer vigil was held on Thursday & Friday, February 24 & 25, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Fishing Lake Community Centre. A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. at Fishing Lake Community Centre Fishing Lake, Alberta. With Father Jim as the celebrant. Interment followed at Fishing Lake Community Cemetery. Pallbearers were Danny Deschamps, Ralph Deschamps, Wacey Durocher, Charlie Gladue, Dale Gagne and Kory Kozina. Honorary Pallbearers were Lloyd Gladue, Raymond Deschamps, Dusty Powder, Stan Saunders, Morris Aulotte, Hector Deschamps and Myles Jr. Deschamps.
