On Sunday, February 13, 2011 Vanessa Cardinal of Kehewin, Alberta passed away at the age 40 years. Vanessa will be lovingly remembered by her children; Johdi Cardinal and James Cardinal of Houston, BC; Vanessa’s father Bill McDonald of Edson, AB: siblings; David Rocque–Cardinal of Edmonton, AB, Luella (Rick) Cardinal of Edmonton, AB, Darlene (Barry) Cardinal of Edmonton, AB, Candace (Matt) Reynolds of Edson, AB Loretta Cardinal of Edson, AB. Vanessa was predeceased by her son William Cardinal: mother; Elaine Hilda Cardinal: grandparents; Maryanne & John P. Cardinal. A prayer vigil was held on Thursday & Friday, February 17 & 18, 2011 at Kehewin Community Centre. A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Kehewin Community Centre at Kehewin, Alberta with Pastor Wilfred Cross officiating. Interment followed at the St. Joseph’s Community Cemetery, Kehewin, Alberta. Pallbearers were Gene Cardinal, Clayton Cardinal, John Cardinal, Melvin Cardinal, Errol Cardinal, and Barry Johnson.
