Obituary of Maude Freda Cardinal

Cardinal, Maude Freda June 4, 1929 – February 4, 2011 On Friday, February 4, 2011 Maude Freda Cardinal of Edmonton passed away at the age of 81 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her children; Benny (Gladys) Cardinal of Elizabeth, Sandy Flamond of Cold Lake, Gary Cardinal of Alexander, Ronnie Cardinal of Edmonton, Darryl Robinson of Vancouver, BC and Rowan (Franka) Robinson of Edmonton, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, sisters; Edna (Emile) Blyan of Elizabeth, Alvina (John) Payne of Oakville, ON and Rubina (Dolphus) Cardinal of Lac La Biche as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Mrs. Cardinal was predeceased by her son Gordon Cardinal, parents; Mary Jane and Augustine Cardinal, and her siblings; Albert Cardinal, Phillip Cardinal, Willard Cardinal, Margaret Cardinal, Madeline Winterburn, Ann Rhyason, Esther McIntosh and Alfred Cardinal. A prayer vigil was held on Tuesday and Wednesday, February 8 and 9, 2011 at the Elizabeth Settlement Community Hall. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Thursday, February 10, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. St. Marguerite d’Youville Parish, Elizabeth Métis Settlement with Father Mario Jubinville as the celebrant. Interment followed at the Elizabeth Settlement Community Cemetery with Fabian Flamond, Terrence Cardinal, Dylon Cardinal, Tamara Badger, Carmen Badger, Taylor Cardinal as pallbearers. Northern Lights Funeral Chapel Ltd. were in trust of arrangements.
