On Sunday, December 15, 2013 Ms. Helen Bertha Desjarlais of Elk Point passed away at the age of 69 years. Helen will be lovingly remembered by her children; Judy Desjarlais, Drayton Dion (Denise), Candace Dion, Tina Dion, Terrace Dion (Judy), Donna Desjarlais (Derek), Dean Dion and Tanya Cardinal (Wayne), 20 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and her siblings; Albert (Alma) Desjarlais, Henry Desjarlais and Ernest Desjarlais. Helen was predeceased by her daughter; Laurie Dion, parents; James and Louise Desjarlais, her brothers; Lawrence, Gilbert, William, Tommy, George, Joe and Harvey and her sisters; Alice, Mary, Caroline, Annie and Flora. A wake was held on December 17 and 18, 2013 at the Elizabeth Settlement Community Hall. A funeral service was held on December 19, 2013 at the Elizabeth Settlement Hall with Father Thomas Dieu Nguyen officiating. Interment followed at the Elizabeth Settlement Community Cemetery
