Obituary of Robert Kleinmann

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert (66) and Gisèle (59) Kleinmann (neé: Bordeleau) of Bonnyville, Alberta, on December 22, 2010 in a tragic motor vehicle accident on their way to spend time with their family for Christmas. Bob- December 15, 1944 – December 22, 2010 & Gisèle April 9, 1951 – December 22, 2010. Bob and Gisèle were retired school teachers who had a very caring and far reaching circle of family and friends. They were leaders in their community and known for their tremendous dedication to many organizations. They had a passion for life that was reflected in how they lived each day and evident in the many lives they touched. Family, friends, and community were of great importance to Bob and Gisèle. In recent years, their greatest joy was spending time with their grandchildren and watching them grow. They will be remembered with fondness, respect and a smile. Although Bob and Gisèle’s work here is done, they have inspired many to continue their legacy of service. They will be forever remembered by their children Christopher (Cori) Kleinmann, Ginette (Stewart) Markham and Becky (Jacques) Dubé and their precious grandchildren Rhys and Saige Kleinmann, Carter and Ryann Markham and Tristain and Marisolle Dubé. Bob is also survived by his brother, David (Christine) Kleinmann of Aude, France. Gisèle is survived by her mother Alice Bordeleau, five brothers and three sisters, Hélène Severyn (Ray Prevost), Georges (Margo) Bordeleau, Robert (Evelyn) Bordeleau, Rita (Brian) Babb, Marcel (Suzanne) Bordeleau, Pierre (Tanya) Bordeleau, Linda Bordeleau and Bert (Bev) Bordeleau; as well as numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, godchildren and good friends. Bob & Gisèle were predeceased by his parents: Gordon & Kathleen Kleinmann; her father: Albert Bordeleau; their granddaughter: Emily Kleinmann; and Gisèle’s brother-in-law: Daniel Severyn. Prayers were held on Wednesday, December 29 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Louis Roman Catholic Church, 5027 – 49 Avenue, Bonnyville, Alberta. A celebration of their lives was held on December 30, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the Centennial Centre, 4313 – 50 Avenue, Bonnyville, Alberta, with Father Rene Realuyo as the celebrant. Interment followed in the Holy Family Cemetery, Bonnyville Alberta. Robert’s pallbearers were: Alphonse Roberts, Kim Kissel, Ron Leskiw, Ray Prevost, Raymond Gignac, and Nestor Kunec. Robert’s honorary pallbearers were: David Kleinmann, Irven Courts, Jacques Ouellette, Louis Makoweski, Jacques Gagnon, and Phil Kushnir. Gisèle’s pallbearers were: Georges Bordeleau, Robert Bordeleau, Marcel Bordeleau, Pierre Bordeleau, Bert Bordeleau, and Brian Babb. Gisèle’s honorary pallbearers were: Hélène Severyn, Rita Babb, Linda Bordeleau, Denise Kissel, Jackie Kunec, and Solange Lajoie. Eulogists were: MLA- Genia Leskiw and Darcy Reynolds.
