Mary Madeline Jacko July 28, 1947 – May 31, 2009 On Sunday May 31, 2009 Mary Jacko of Cold Lake First Nations passed away at the age of 61 years. Mary will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her children: Kelvin Jacko of Edmonton, Kelsey Jacko of Edmonton, Michael Jacko of Legoff, Bernard Jacko of Assumption; grandchildren; Matthew, Autumn, Summer, Shania, Jade, Mitchell, Carlton, Alli, Rachel, Callahan, Crystal, Brandon, & Bernita; great grandchildren: Tabias, Deshaye, & Alexandra. Siblings: Louis Desjarlais, Jonas Desjarlais, William Desjarlais; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. Mary was predeceased by her husband: Gabe Jacko; parents: Eugene & Veronica Desjarlais; siblings: William, James, Julia, Albertine, Andrew, Marvin, Bernadette, Henry, & Nora; son: Carlton; & granddaughter: Alexandra. A Prayer Vigil was held Tuesday & Wednesday, June 2 & 3, 2009 at the Cold Lake First Nations Spiritual Centre. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday, June 4, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Raphael’s Parish Cold Lake First Nations, Alberta with Father Rene Realuyo as celebrant. Interment followed in the Cold Lake First Nations Community Cemetery with pallbearers: Roger Grandbois, Dave Janvier, Harold Jacko, Teddy Loth, Ferris Janvier, Clark Janvier and honourary pallbearers: Lorraine Loth, Anne Charland, Violet Herman, Isabelle Grandbois, numerous nieces, nephews relatives and friends. Arrangements were in trust of Northern Lights Funeral Chapel Ltd.
