On Saturday, November 26, 2016 Mrs. Bernadette Blackman of Cold Lake First Nations passed away at the age of 81 years. Bernadette will be remembered by her children; Adelard Blackman, Ken Blackman, Freda Deacon and Bruce Blackman, grandchildren; Sheila, Ben, Amy, Lance, Kennedy, Luke, Jonathan, Jeffery, Keith, Cassandra, Garrett and Ryan, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, her brothers; Norbert Billette and Roderick (Therese) Billette and sister; Aldina (Pat) Desjarlais. Bernadette was predeceased by her husband Raphael Blackman, her parents; Elsie and Joachim Billette, brother; Leon Billette and sister; Marie Nezchroche. A wake December 1 and 2, 2016 at the Cold Lake First Nations Band Hall. Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church, Cold Lake First Nations. Interment in the Community Cemetery.
