On Monday, March 14, Rose Mary Grandbois of Cold Lake First Nations passed away at the age of 49 years. Rose will lovingly remembered by her husband; Albert Potskin, children; Albert Jr. Grandbois-Potskin and Kyle Cardinal, Vanessa Berland, Veronica Berland, and Vernon Berland, her father; Felix Grandbois, grandchildren; Aryanna, Laykan, Felicia, Jakob, Adrianna, Bryce, Lavanna and Austin, brother; Raymond Grandbois, nieces and nephews; Raymond Jr. Zacharia, Lorelei, Lesley and Valen. Rose was predeceased by her mother: Mary Cecile (1969), brothers: Roderick (1964), Richard (2004), Ronald (1990) and Rene (2013), niece: Raelene (1993), maternal grandparents: Mr. & Mrs. William Minoose, paternal grandparents: Mr. & Mrs. Eduard Grandbois and mother in law: Mary Virginia Potskin (2014).
Wake held on Friday, March 18 and the Cold Lake First Nations Band Hall. Mass of Christian Burial held on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Raphael’s Parish with Father Thomas Dieu Nguyen as the celebrant. Interment followed at Cold Lake First Nations Community Cemetery.
