Obituary of Zelia Exilia Lessard

On Friday, September 4, 2015 Ms. Zelia Marie Lessard passed away in Bonnyville at the age of 93 years. Zelia will be lovingly remembered by her children; Ted Lessard of Salmon Arm, BC, Gilbert Lessard of Caslan, AB, Johnny (Jackie) Lessard of Beaumont, AB, Emile (Judy) Lessard of Bonnyville, AB, Cecile (John) Fersovitch of Iron River, AB, Lucille (Jim) Szmyrko of Caslan, AB, Bernadette Karas of Bonnyville, AB, daughter in law; Eva Lessard of Bonnyville, 32 Grandchildren, 57 Great Grandchildren, 5 Great-Great Grandchildren, sisters; Amelia (Luke) Dion of Barrhead, AB, Jeanne Plamondon of Boyle, AB and Josephine (Ken) Triplett of St. Paul, AB, brothers; Raymond (Mary) Duperron of Peace River, AB, and Amede (Delia) Duperron of Bretton, AB. She was predeceased by her husband: Alphonse Lessard (1979), infant twin daughters (1950), daughter: Emilie (1952), sons: George (1973), Lionel (2006), Donald (2010), son in laws: Irvin Bohay (1994), Fred Karas (2014), great granddaughters: Faith and Grace (2014), parents: Arson and Ida Duperron, siblings: Thomas, Albert, Emile, Pat, Isidore, Rosalie and Eleanor. A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall, Lac La Biche, Alberta. A private interment followed at St. John’s Cemetery, Bonnyville, Alberta.
