Obituary of Donald Nicholas Ballas

With heavy hearts, we would like to announce the passing of Donald Ballas (Donny), 74, of LaCorey. Surrounded by his family on August 20th, 2015, at the Cold Lake Hospital. He was born February 18th, 1941, in Elk Point, Alberta to Nick and Mary Ballas. Don is survived by his loving wife Diana, his daughter Shannon & Dave, son Shane & Stacey, Diana’s daughter, Janice & Don, grandchildren: Seanna, Skyler, Ashton, Raewyn, and Brittany & great grandson Zane, grandchildren: Brennan, Shayne & spouse Missy, Cheyenne & great grandchildren; Ryker & Keyonna, grandchildren: Krysten & spouse Connor, Taryn & spouse Gavin, Sam & spouse Jason & great granddaughter: Tiauna. Sisters, Judy Jenner & Lloyd, Joanne Halldorson & Greg, Joyce Spence & Wayne, brother Bill Ballas & Debbie, 7 nieces 7 nephews and 20 great nieces and nephews and many old and new friends, as well as some great neighbors! Donnie was predeceased by his mother Mary, father Nick, and his brother Alex. Donnie had a great love of the outdoors and animals. A Celebration of Life was held at the Willow Prairie Hall by LaCorey, on Sunday, August 30th, 2015 at 1:00 p.m.. Please feel free to bring your favourite story to share.
