On Friday, July 17, 2015 Mr. Melvin Felix Matchatis of Cold Lake First Nations passed away at the age of 63 years. Melvin will be sadly missed by his mother Melanie, brothers; Robert (Julie) Matchatis, Ronnie Matchatis and Gerald Matchatis his sister Linda Matchatis, numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Melvin was predeceased by his father: Henry Matchatis, siblings: Rita, Gary, Burton, Ernest and Allen, niece and nephews: Jody, Barry and Mitchell. A Wake was held on Sunday, July 19, 2015 at the Cold Lake First Nations Spiritual Centre. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, July 20, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Raphael’s Parish, Cold Lake First Nations with Father Thomas Dieu Nguyen as the celebrant. Interment followed at the Cold Lake First Nations Community Cemetery.
