Obituary of Louis Pete Desjarlais

DESJARLAIS, Louis On Saturday, October 12, 2013 Mr. Louis Pete Desjarlais of Cold Lake First Nations passed away at the age of 76 years. Louis will be remembered by his wife, Gladys Pachapis of Big Island Lake, SK, his children; Margaret Desjarlais of Edmonton, Elizabeth Desjarlais of Vermilion, Henry Desjarlais of USA, Jenny Piche of CLFN, Eugene (Keisha) Pachapis of BILCN, Roger (Melvina) Kytwayhat of BILCN, Anita (Dwayne) Pooyak of BILCN, Verna (Lare) Pahtayken of Onion Lake, Joan Minoose of CLFN, Alicia Minoose of Ottawa and a foster son: Aaron Bearboy, one brother Jonas Desjarlais of Cold Lake, AB, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by his children: David and Mildred, parents, Eugene & Mary Veronica Desjarlais, siblings; William, James, Julia, Albertine, Andrew, Marvin, Bernadette, Henry, Nora, Mary and Cathy. A wake was held on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at Big Island Lake Cree Nation. A prayer vigil was held on Friday, October 18, 2013 at the Cold Lake First Nations Band Hall. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church with Father Thomas Dieu Nguyen officiating. Interment followed at the Cold Lake First Nations Community Cemetery.
