On Friday, September 27, 2024, Ethan Brett Janvier of Cold Lake First Nations passed away suddenly at the age of 35 years.

Ethan will be forever remembered by his son; Brett Stanley Janvier, his mother Elaine Matchatis, his siblings; Rachel (Cody) Branchaud, Annie Janvier, Stephen Matchatis, and Patrick Locke, and numerous, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Ethan was predeceased by his father; Gerald Matchatis, his 3 siblings; a baby brother, Mitchell Matchatis, and Terri-Lynn Martial, his maternal grandparents; Pat and Mary Janvier, and his paternal grandparents; Henry and Melanie Matchatis.

A 2-day wake leaving Northern Lights Funeral Chapel, Bonnyville on Thursday Octobert 10, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. to the Cold Lake First Nations Spiritual Centre.

Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday, October 12, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. St. Raphael’s Roman Catholic Church, Cold Lake First Nations with interment at Cold Lake First Nations Community Cemetery.
