Laurence Gordon Wilson born Sept 1st 1940 in Revelstoke British Columbia he was known to his friends as Gordy Wilson. Gordy passed away on May 3rd, 2024 in Bonnyville Alberta. Gordy was a 40 year member of the Ironworkers Union Local 720 Edmonton Alberta. Gordy was a top drawer Ironworker and Journeyman Welder. He worked on many projects both commercial and industrial. Gordy later studied at NAIT and became a Level 3 Quality Control Welding Inspector. He achieved Welding Supervisor status and worked as a General Foreman mainly with Aqua Industrial a Fort McMurray Contractor. Gordy was known for his innovative ideas and his relentless determination to complete jobs on time. He made many friends in the Ironworkers, I remember seeing them in our home often as my father liked to host parties and entertain his friends. He enjoyed sports Hockey, Football but loved baseball, I remember him rifling fastballs at me as a kid so I got good with my glove. One thing about my Dad is he lived life his way.

Rest In Peace.
