Janet was a great neighbor who always welcomed a visit. She had a great personality and loved her family and then along came the grandchildren which were very special. Janet and Bob enjoyed camping and had a wide circle of friends.

Janet and I were lifelong friends. Our parents visited as couples and were fishing buddies in later years. They headed with Hartfelders to Vancouver Island, where a family member of Wally's supplied them with a boat. Those Alberta farmers were experienced fishermen. The wives canned the fish to bring the haul back home.
Both Janet and I ended up going to Warburg High School for grade nine. We did track, volleyball and basketball together. Our favorite was playing guards for the Warburg Gems basketball team. Very few layups were successful against the two of us. We rocked!
Janet set up a blind date for John and I. She had met him through a friend of hers, who had gone to Fort McMurray to work. A romance blossomed and we have been married 54 plus years.
Thank you, Janet.
I admire so many qualities Janet exhibited throughout her life. Her loyalty and support as a friend over the years. Her lighthearted personality lifted the people around her. Her hearty laugh could be recognized by friends and family in a room full of people. Janet surpassed all expectations of her in the rolls of wife, mother and grandmother. The seven men in her life will continue to live her legacy to fulfillment.
Her inner strength and determination to fight to survive the hand that she was dealt, regarding her physical health challenges. Janet was a genuine "fighter".
"Janet, I know you are up there looking down on us. That's what "good angels" do! We will feel your glowing presence and support when it is needed by us the most!"

Our condolences to the family. Janet was a wonderful person always quick with a smile, our kids loved trick or treating at her house while we lived in Bonnyville as she'd give them a little extra loot, and she was a great co-worker to work with.

Janet, my dear BFF, and I have known each other for about 66+ years. Our parents were life long friends and travelling companions. For grades 9 to 12, we grew very close while playing team sports together and doing all the things that teenagers have fun doing. I'm sure that Janet is up there, with the angels in the spirit world, looking down on us. Her compassionate, sincere and jovial nature will be sadly missed. Our deepest condolences to Butch, Jared, Brenden, Sheldon and their families. At some point, the heartache will diminish and only the fond memories will remain.

Sorry to hear of Janet's passing, she was a fabulous person always smiling and up for a chat whenever you'd bump into her and Bob downtown. Years ago one of their boys used to babysit for us because they just lived down the block from us in Bonnyville.....their boys were great kids!!

Janet and I were very good friends in elementary school in Genesee. One memory I have is I use to stay overnight at her parents farm and in the morning her Mom would bring in fresh warm milk for our cereal before catching the bus to go to school. I didn’t like milk and warm milk even worst. I think we had laughs about it later
