Obituary of Shirley Memnook

On Tuesday, May 9, 2023 Mrs. Shirley Memnook of Cold Lake First Nations passed away at the age of 73 years.

Shirley will be lovingly remembered by her husband Wilfred Grandbois, her children; Bonita (Hugh) Jacob, Candace (Michael) Crookedneck, Anita (Jon) Memnook, Sheila Grandbois, Corine Grandbois, her adopted children; Tyson (Cecily) Starr, Warren Memnook, Simon Memnook, Rae-anne Memnook-Nest, 22 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren, her siblings; Marge White, Inez (Jerry) Jackson, Patsy Houle, and Delia Whitford, Mary Memnook, Janet Hunter.

Shirley was predeceased by her son, Richard Starr, daughter, Renee Memnook, grandson, Melvin Gladue, granddaughters; Samantha Skiba and Karissa Weekusk, great grandson, Erin Skiba-Salter, parents: Oliver & Rita Memnook, brothers; Ned Memnook, Simon Memnook, and Richard Memnook.

Wake Saturday, May 13, 2023, leaving Northern Lights Funeral Chapel (Bonnyville) at 11:00 a.m. to Shirley and Wilfred residence 170 Range Road 430 Cold Lake First Nations. Funeral service, Monday, May 15, 2023 at 11;00 am., at the residence 170 Range Road 430 Cold Lake First Nations with interment to follow at the Cold Lake First Nations Community Cemetery.
