Obituary of Harvey Paul Marty

On Thursday, January 15, 2015 Mr. Harvey “Moniyaw” Marty passed away in Edmonton at the age of 56 years. Moniyaw will be remembered by his daughter Lana Stalker of Edmonton, siblings; Violet Wells of Elizabeth Settlement, Fernie Marty of Edmonton, Bernice Burd of Edmonton, Richard (Nancy) Marty of Edmonton, Stanley Marty of Elizabeth Settlement, Bertha Marty of Edmonton, Melvin Marty of Cold Lake, Linda Marty of Elizabeth Settlement and Phillip Marty of Edmonton. Moniyaw was predeceased by his parents: Lucy and Phillip Marty and brother: Henry Marty. A wake was held on Thursday, January 22, 2015, Elizabeth Settlement Community Hall, Elizabeth Métis Settlement. A funeral service was held on Friday, January 23, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Elizabeth Settlement Community Hall with Pastor Phil Crump officiating. Pallbearers were; Melvin Marty, Rick Wells, Mike Marty, Ronnie Desjarlais, Joel Collins and Gary Desjarlais. A cremation followed the funeral service and interment will take place at a later date.
