On Wednesday, May 19, 2010 Mrs. Effie Julien of Edmonton passed away at the age of 73 years. Effie was born on May 18, 1937 in St. Paul, Alberta. Effie will be lovingly remembered by her sons; Raymond (Joyce) Julien of Alabama, Daniel Julien of Edmonton and Donald Julien of Edmonton, her daughter JoAnn (Ken Gurney) Roux of Falcon, BC, grandchildren; Colette, Paul, David, Natan, James, Nicole, Kyle and numerous great grandchildren. Effie will also be remembered by her siblings; Alice Godzuik of Edmonton, Germaine (Emile) Wagner of Bonnyville, William Turzanski of Bonnyville, Helen (Jim) Lind of Edmonton, Ted (Lucy) Turzanski of Bonnyville, Betty (Leo) Cote of Bonnyville, Joe (Diane) Turzanski of St. Albert, Wayne (Lillian) Turzanski of Bonnyville and brother in law Emile Cabaj of Bonnyville and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. Effie was predeceased by her husband; Eugene, special friend; Fielding McGee, son; Carl Julien, parents; Mike and Rose Turzanski, sister; Annie Cabaj and sister & brother in law Madeline and Peter Godziuk. A memorial of Effie's life was held on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Northern Lights Funeral Chapel, Bonnyville with Father Rene Realuyo as the celebrant. Interment followed in the Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery, Flat Lake, Alberta.
