Obituary of James Lyall
James “Jim” Michael Lyall a long-time resident of Cold Lake, Alberta, a twenty-five-year veteran of Canada’s Armed Forces, and stalwart member of Lakeside Baptist Church, went home to be with his Saviour on December 22nd, 2022 at the age of 72 years.
Brother Lyall, as he was affectionately known, was born in Cobourg Northumberland, Ontario on September 6th, 1950. Jim is survived by his sister Cheryl Thompson, her children: Julie Fullerton, Brian Crooks, Sherry Foster, and the children of his late sister Sonya Schwab (Bill Palmer, Daniel Palmer, Robert Palmer, Stephen Palmer, Susan Kroyer, Sean Palmer, and Timothy Palmer).
Jim was predeceased by his father James Hiram Lyall, his mother Pauline Kinghorn Lyall, and his older sister Sonya Ann Schwab.
Viewing, Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Northern Lights Funeral Chapel, Cold Lake, Alberta with a memorial service to follow at 1:00 P.M. officiated by Pastor Jason Yellowknee. Interment, Grand Centre Memorial Park, Cold Lake, Alberta. A fellowship in Brother Lyall’s honor will be held at Lakeside Baptist Church located at 304 10 St at 2:30 P.M.
The family of Jim Lyall would like to thank Pastor Yellowknee, the Lakeside Baptist Church, and the friends who cared for him in recent years. They would also like to thank everyone for their patience in allowing them to work through the process of arranging their loved one’s memorial during the holiday season.
