March 23, 1951 ~ November 13, 2022

On Sunday, November 13, 2022 Victor John of Kehewin passed away at the age of 71 years.

Victor will be forever remembered and loved dearly by his wife:  

Yvonne John; children: Willie (Sheri) John, Laurelle (Kelly Scanie) John, Kimberley (Travis) John-Hymanyk; grandchildren: Brady “My Shap”, Brooklynn “My Doe-Doe”,  Kassidy “My Sidney”, Jasper (My Little Shap”,  Riane “Mrs. Ears”, Jordan “Mikwan”, Malisha; great grandchildren: Tegan Gadwa and Ivy McKay; siblings: Irvin Kehewin, Howard John, Richard John, Amelia John, Vera Erasmus, Phaedra, Paige, Pam, Elton, Vince, Clint; as well as numerous other nieces and nephews; adopted daughter: Dusty Gullion.

Victor was predeceased by his daughter Samantha John; grandson Seth Gadwa; parents William and Maude Kehewin; siblings: Josephine, William, Eric, Percy and Barb.

Wake, Monday, November 21, 2022, Bonnyville Agriculture Society, Bonnyville, Alberta (leaving Northern Lights Funeral Chapel, Bonnyville at 1 p.m.

Funeral Service, Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 11:00 a.m., Bonnyville Agriculture Society, Bonnyville, Alberta with interment to follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery Kehewin, Alberta.

He never looked for praises

He was never one to boast

He just went on quietly working

For the ones he loved the most.

His dreams were seldom spoken

His wants were very few

And most of the time his worries

Went unspoken too.

He was there … A firm foundation

Through all our storms of life

A sturdy hand to hold on to

In times of stress and strife.

A true friend we could turn to

When times were good or bad

One of our greatest blessings

The man that we called Dad.
