I am saddened to learn of Glenda's passing. Glenda and I were great friends in the early 80's and worked together at WCB in Yellowknife downstairs at City Hall. She told me I was OK after the evening we had eaten our garden fresh beets. I was afraid that I was ill, and she laughed and laughed as I told her my health fears. She said, "Do you remember what we ate last night?". I went through the pressure cooked beef ribs, rice and beets. She said that it was the beets which made me think I was ill. I had never eaten fresh cooked beets and had no idea that they would look like I had internal bleeding. She mentioned this every time we spoke. We lost touch as she moved here and there. I am so pleased to know that she found love again and had a wonderful life.
My condolences go out to her families. I loved her very much.
Sincerely and with a heavy heart,
Annette Poitras
