Our condolences to Eileen, to Erwin’s family and to the many friends he valued.
Erwin came from a small family and as an only cousin, played an important part in our lives. He valued staying connected and made regular contact with his Saskatchewan roots. Kinistino, Wynyard and Saskatoon were on his annual circuit. These trips were carefully formulated around visits to his favourite restaurants with the pie counter at Fuddruckers - Saskatoon - near the top of the list.
From an early age Erwin developed a love of cars and went on to spend many years in sales. His black truck was a source of pride.
A few of his admirable accomplishments included: beating cancer at age 19, quitting smoking and drinking (with the aid AA).
Erwin often spoke of his sons, Shane and Jeffery, expressing pride in Shane's accomplishments as a glass artist.
We appreciated that Erwin met and married Eileen Kirby, a stabilizing force in his life, and we express our deep gratitude to her for the dedication and support offered throughout his time of failing health.
We regret being unable to attend the service June 25, 2022 and send our love, care and support to all who were touched by Erwin’s life.
