Obituary of Bob Fraser

On Monday, March 21, 2022 Bob Fraser of Ardmore, Alberta passed away peacefully with his children by his side at the age of 87 years. Bob will be forever remembered and loved by his children: Brenda (Claude) Hebert of Bonnyville, AB, Colleen Fraser of Bonnyville, AB, Stephen Fraser of Ardmore, AB, Shawn Fraser (Chantel Chatel) of Ardmore, AB; son-in-law: Ray Hudson of Edmonton, AB; grandchildren: Bradley, Ashley (Ryan), Kristen (Aaron), Gerry, Erin (Derrick), Catherine; as well as numerous other relatives & many friends. Bob was predeceased by his wife: Roseann Fraser (2010); daughter: Joan Fraser-Hudson (2013); parents: John & Evangeline Fraser; siblings: Vernon, John, Charles, Jim, Bill, Mary, Frankie, Gerald.

To sum up Bob’s life, it is like a battered old book, placed high on a shelf covered in dust. As we sit turning the tattered pages it all just makes us smile. A character from start to finish. A will and determination that carried through his 87 years. Nothing was finer than a hot coffee and someone to swap tales with. If he announced his next big project, just stand back, and let the chips fall. A love of life, bigger than the big blue sky. A laugh that echoed in every room. He was humble and kind. He taught through example and his expectations were lined with kindness. His quick wit and easy smile carried through to his final days. It is with great sadness we turn to the final page of the old book and place it back, high on the shelf.

Visitation, Saturday, March 26, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Northern Lights Funeral Chapel, Bonnyville, Alberta. Cremation to follow with interment to take place at a later date at Duclos Memorial Cemetery, Ardmore, AB.
