Larocque, Annie November 22, 1920 – March 4, 2010 On Thursday, March 4, 2010 Mrs. Annie Larocque of Elizabeth Métis Settlement passed away in Cold Lake, Alberta at the age of 89 years. Annie will be lovingly remembered by her husband; Sam Larocque of Elizabeth Métis Settlement, daughters; Madeline Dube of Edmonton, Alberta, Mabel (Ken) Sagan of Onoway, Alberta, sons; George (Mary) Larocque of Edmonton, AB, Rene (Blanche) Larocque of Elizabeth Metis Settlement, Raymond (Yvonne) Larocque of Slave Lake, AB, Gerald Larocque of Elizabeth Métis Settlement; daughter in-law Evelyn LaRocque of Elizabeth Métis Settlement; special family friend; Frank Hunt, Numerous Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren & Great Great Grandchildren; Irene was predeceased by; parents, daughters; Irene May & Margaret Bordowski, adopted son; Alex Cardinal. A prayer vigil was held on Monday, March 8, 2010. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Marguerite d’Youville Parish, Elizabeth Métis Settlement with Father Rene Realuyo as celebrant. Interment followed in the Elizabeth Métis Settlement Community Cemetery with all of Annie’s grandsons as pallbearers.
