Obituary of Bonnie Katherine Justik

JUSTIK, Bonnie October 5, 1956 ~ March 15, 2021 Born in Bonnyville, Bonnie was raised with her siblings Daniel Justik (1948 – 2020) and Joanne Michaud who now survives her. Their father, Victor Justik (1913 – 1995) served as Mayor during these early years and her mother, Mary Belle Welsh (1929 – 2011) worked and cared for the young children. Bonnie would later leave Bonnyville to start a new journey and lived in Kindersley, Saskatchewan and Ft. McLeod, Alberta. Before returning back to Bonnyville in 2010 along the way Bonnie raised four strong children of her own, who she is now survived by: Keith Justik- Ackerman of Bonnyville, Kory Ackerman & his daughter Kayleigh of Medicine Hat, Kris Zubiak of Drayton Valley, Katie Zubiak of Bonnyville. Lending a hand, or helping out in any way she could, wasn’t something Bonnie just did it was a need within her to do so. Happy to say “Hi” and chat if she knew you or not, one could always count on an honest conversation with Bonnie. Bonnie’s genuine heart & soul will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She passed away Monday, March 15, 2021 in her home surrounded by family and her fur babies. A special thank you goes to the wonderful team of homecare workers and palliative care nurses. Their genuine care and efforts during this time were a blessing. A small Graveside Ceremony will be held Saturday, March 27, 2021. A Celebration of Bonnie’s life will be announced at a later date.
