On Saturday, October 4, 2014 Mr. Richard Melvin Wells “KELLY” of Elizabeth Métis Settlement passed away at the age of 63 years. Kelly will be sadly missed by his wife Violet Wells, his children; Rick Wells, Pricilla Wells, Clayton (Jeralyn) Wells, Lisa Wells, special niece Candace Wells (Peter), grandchildren; “Big Man” Lawrence Cole Desjarlais, Jaycob Wells, Kirkland Wells, Taylor Reid, Aidan Reid, Talia Wells and Corbin Wells, chapan; Lawrence Desjarlais Jr., his mother; Mary Wells and his siblings; Blair Ross, Allan (Barb) Wells, Dennis Wells, Wanda Wells (Len) and Marylin (Joel) Lizee. Kelly was predeceased by his special grandsons; Dylan Reid and Dennis Wells Jr., his father; James Wells and his brother Henry Wells.
A visitation and prayer service was held on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at Northern Lights Funeral Chapel, Bonnyville, Alberta from 7:00 – 10:00 p.m.. Last respects were held on Thursday, October 9, 2014 from 10:00 – 12:00 p.m. at Elizabeth Settlement Community Hall. A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. at Elizabeth Settlement Hall with Pastor Phil Crump officiating.
