It is with saddened hearts that the family of Harlan Blyan announces his unexpected passing on Thursday, January 14, 2021 in Edmonton, Alberta at the age of 57 years.
Harlan is lovingly survived by his sons: Lance, Marlon (Shaniece), Harley (Megan); adopted son: Austin Cardinal; daughter: Leah; granddaughters: Sierra & Avery; mother of his sons: Joni Cardinal; mother: Madeline Blyan; parents: Emile & Edna Blyan; siblings: Laurie (Donald), Brenda, Russell (Cecelia), Lewis, Tina (Mike), Steve, Floyd, Peter (Lorraine), Sherry, Norine, Lizzie (Robyn), Bruce, Rachel, Myrna (Joel), Marilyn (Casey), Janice; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends & special uncle: Raymond Desjarlais.
Harlan was predeceased by his father: Louie Blyan; paternal grandparents: Louis Sr. & Sophie Blyan; maternal grandparents: Peter Desjarlias, Katie Rasher; sister: Marlene Cardinal; brother: Richard Blyan.
A Private Service will be held with interment to follow at the Elizabeth Métis Settlement Community Cemetery.
