On Wednesday, September 24,2014 Rodney Jacob Blackman of Cold Lake First Nations passed away at the age of 46 years. Rodney will be lovingly remembered by his parents; Baptiste and Pauline Blackman, his siblings; Leah Blackman, Harold Blackman, Lisa(Larry) Moosewah, Moe Blackman, Lena Jacko,and Darcy K Blackman. Rodney was predeceased by his brother; Darcy Robert Blackman, sister; Loretta Blackman, paternal grandparents; John and Josephine Blackman, maternal grandparents; Maurice and Eva Janvier.
A wake was held on Saturday and Sunday September 27 and 28, 2014 at the Cold Lake First Nations Spiritual Centre, Mass of the Christian Burial was held on Monday, September 29, 2014 at St. Raphael's Catholic Parish with Father Thomas Dieu Nguyen as the celebrant. Interment followed at the Cold Lake First Nations Community Cemetery
