In memory of my brother Elmer.
Growing up on the Sibley farm at St. Cyr, Saskatchewan, just out of Meadow Lake, has many memories. Our parents had a large market garden, honey bees and we were self sufficient at our farm. We learned how to hunt and fish and we helped our parents plant a big garden of about 30-40 acres. We lived off the land. Our dad was a logger in winter and later on, in Elmer's life, he liked to work in the bush. He loved the outdoors. He loved music, and would love to sing Jim Reeves songs. He played his beautiful Martin guitar and
when he sang, it was as though Jim Reeves was in the room.
The first picture is my brothers, Elmer, Tom, Nels and myself, at our brother Tom’s home. Then, Elmer and I at a wedding in Saskatoon, SK. The 3rd picture is the ‘Elmer Sibley Memorial Flower Garden’ made by our brother, Tom, with the help of his friends, at Deep Ravine Lake. Elmer and Tom visited Deep Ravine Lake a few times each year, to relax, fish and camp out with the boys. It’s a sacred place for them now. The 4th picture was taken at Elmer’s home in Bonneyville, Alberta. Elmer and I are playing a few tunes.
“God Bless you Elmer and may your memory live in us forever”. Alma

My deepest condolences to the Sibley family. Whenever Elmer came to see me he would always entertain me with the latest stories of his grandchildren and I was always smiling and laughing when he left. His grandchildren were the love of his life and he was so proud to show them off with all his pictures on his phone. I will miss his visits to the store and the talks we had. Rest in peace Elmer.

Hello Sibley family,
I never had the opportunity to meet Elmer that I remember. We are near the same age and we are cousins as our grandmothers were sisters. It was great to be a fb friend. I could sense that he was a man of faith. I pray for all of you as you grieve. Grief is really hard work ...please take care of each other and know that it’s ok to ask for help. May God surround you with love, grace and peace. May Elmer’s soul Rest In Peace.
