September 23, 1939 – October 10, 2020
On Saturday, October 10, 2020 Stearns I. McRae of Cold Lake, Alberta passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side at the Cold Lake Healthcare Center at the age of 81 years.
Stearns, a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle will be forever loved and remembered by his wife of 57 years: Anne McRae; daughter: Cheryl (Greg) Blair; sons: Dennis (Jo-Ann) MacRae, Billy MacRae; grandchildren: Chelsea (Jesse), Jayden (Taylor), Corbyn, William, Lindsey (Randy), Clinton (Dakota); great grandchild: Dakota; siblings: Hollis (Gert) McRae, Carl (Eileen) MacRae, Sterling MacRae, Audrey Cavanaugh; brother-in-law: Ken (Liz) Shearer; sister-in-law: Alice (Ed) Flannery; as well as numerous nieces, nephews other relatives & friends.
Stearns was predeceased by his father: William McRae; mother: Hazel (McRae) Johnson; step-father: Lester Johnson; sister: Joyce McRae; mother-in-law & father-in-law: Elva & Baxter Shearer.
To honor Stearn’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date.
