Obituary of Leah Jean Ruby

October 17, 1989 - September 18, 2018
It is with profound sadness that the family announce the passing of Leah Jean Ruby on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at the age of 28 with family by her side. Leah will be lovingly remembered by her husband Jeff Ruby; son Tyson; parents Ray and Roxanne Hesterman; brother Mike (Lisa) Hestermen and their children Paige and Kayden; sister Samantha Hesterman; grandmothers Georgina Hesterman and Marilyn Nazar; mother and father in law Allan and Clarice Ruby; brother in law Shawn Ruby and his family; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will miss Leah immensely. Leah was predeceased by her grandfathers Martin Hesterman and Alex Nazar. Leah was a fighter and she battled cancer like a warrior. Leah grew up in Ormiston, SK and attended Crane Valley School and was a member of the final graduating class from Crane Valley School in 2007. She moved to Bonnyville, Ab where she met her husband to be Jeff. They moved to Fort McMurray which they called home until her passing. Leah and Jeff were married in 2013 and their son Tyson was born in 2017. Her greatest joy was her family and her son Tyson was the sparkle in her eyes. She enjoyed curling and football, her favorite team was of course, the Saskatchewan RoughRiders. A Celebration of Leah's life will be held on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at 1:30 PM at Hillcrest Apostolic Church, 1550 Main St. N., Moose Jaw, SK. Pastor Bill Luther will officiate.
