On Monday, March 22, 2010 Mr. John Augustin Gadwa of Kehewin, Alberta passed away at the age of 72 years. John will be lovingly missed by his wife Dorothy Gadwa, children George (Judie) John-Gadwa, Jeffery Moyah, Jason (Barb) Kowerchuk, Lorraine White and Denzel Chief, granddaughters Sheryl and Bonnie Gadwa, 13 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren,and siblings Angelina Badger and Gordon Gadwa. John was predeceased by his daughter Stella Gadwa, granddaughters Alexis and Sarah Gadwa, brother Henry Gadwa and sister Mary Dumais. A prayer vigil was held on Saturday and Sunday, March 27 and 28, 2010 at the Kehewin School. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, March 29, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Parish, Kehewin. Interment followed at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Kehewin, Alberta with pallbearers Denzel Chief, Lloyd Jackson, Elmer Gullion, Mark Gadwa, Roy Dumais, Ernest Gadwa, Harvey Youngchief and Gabe Dillon. Honourary pallbearers being and of Johnny's family, friends and Co-workers.
