June 14, 1926 ~ December 28, 2025

On Sunday, December 28, 2025, Yolande Lacombe of Bonnyville, Alberta peacefully passed away at the age of 99. Born on the farm near Fort Kent, Alberta in 1926, she witnessed nearly a century of change and devoted her life to farming, family, community, and faith. Known for her warmth and resilience, she leaves behind a legacy cherished by all who knew her.

Yolande is lovingly survived by her sister: Delores Szydlik; sisters-in-law:  Lucille Roux and Aline Paziuk, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, the Lacombe family, extended relatives and friends.

Yolande was predeceased by her husband: Paul Lacombe (April 9, 2005); parents: Nelda & Eugene Roux; siblings: Ted (Annette) Roux, Jean Guy (Therese) Roux, Alfred “Fred” Roux; Gaetane (Joe) Kolody; Ovila (Olga) Roux; brother-in-law: Steve Szydlik.

Mass of Christian Burial, Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at 11:30 a.m. viewing will take place at the church 1 hour before the service (eulogy will start at 11:15 a.m.), St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Fort Kent, Alberta with interment to follow at the church cemetery.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff and doctors for the compassionate care and kindness shown to Yolande during her stay at Long Term Care. The dedication and support brought comfort to her and to us, and we are deeply appreciative.
